We're the ICT Dachshunds — Wichita's dachshund club and the people behind Running With The Weens, the wiener dog races at ICT Blocktoberfest. 126 weens ran it last year. This October, yours could too.
The main event
Running With The Weens
Every October, Naftzger Park turns into Wichita's lowest-altitude speedway. Heats of dachshunds tear down the track while the crowd loses its mind — then everybody hangs around for merch, a quilt raffle, and the auction. Humans get in free. The ticket is for your dog.

The most important athletic event of the day. Hot dog costumes are a proud tradition, not a cliché.

When racing season ends
Dachsgiving
Racing isn't the whole story. Every November the pack gathers for Dachsgiving — our fall get-together at the Sunflower Building in Sedgwick County Park. Paws & give thanks.

Who we are
"It started as a dachshund club. It turned into a family with very short legs."
Years ago, our founders saw dachshund meetups in England and thought: Wichita needs this. What began as a handful of long dogs in a park is now one of the most stubbornly wholesome communities in Kansas — meetups, races, fundraisers, and a whole lot of weens.
New to the pack? Bring your dachshund. Don't have one yet? Come anyway — exposure therapy works in both directions.
